The Clubfoot Club Online Community

You can create your own WordPress blog here on the clubfoot site to tell your clubfoot story.  You can post pictures and share your experience. You can have multiple pages and posts.  Give it a try and feel free to ask me questions if you get lost.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Create and account at http://clubfootclub.org/community or  Login with your username and password.
2. Click Members and find yourself on the list – click on your user name to go to your profile page
3. click on the word Blogs to go to the My Blogs page
4. now click create a blog
5. name your blog sub-domain – keep it simple, short, no punctuation or spaces, your name would be good.  It will appear as a subdomain of this site – like this http://yourblog/clubfootclub.org
6. give your blog a title – such as Evan’s Clubfoot Story
7. now click create blog
8. now you can login to the WordPress admin area to create posts and upload photos

Creating a post:

1. Find on the left side of the screen the word Posts click on the down arrow to expand the menu
2. now click Edit to edit the sample post that WordPress created for you or click add new (and then remember to delete that sample post)
3. name your post … describe what you are talking about “Evan’s Birth”  might be a good place to start telling my story
4. add the text of your post
5. add a photo by clicking the icon beside the words Add media
6. It is good practice to write a small Excerpt to put in the next box that summarizes what your post is about
7. on the right side you can type in tags (keywords) that describe your post these help with site searches
8. you can also put your posts into categories so that when people are searching they can find related posts together
9. click the Publish or Update Post button
10. now click preview to have a look at what you’ve created.

You can also add comments to each other’s blog posts as a great way to communicate with other members of the community.  Have fun!
